We build off-grid zero carbon transport infrastructure for scooters, e-bikes and micromobility for shoppers, students, professionals and more.
We produce and distribute low and zero carbon fuels for existing transportation such as bioLPG for caravans, campervans, LPG powered cars, lorries and buses.
We believe in making low/zero carbon transport accessible to everyone.
Geoff Wallman was born at a very early age in Bedfordshire but quickly realised the error of his ways and moved to the North East. Following three stints at Newcastle University resulting in ejection, a BSc and a PhD respectively, he founded Intelligen International and Northern Skunkworks. Both companies seek to provide renewable fuels and zero carbon transportation for everyone. Intelligen has worked with, amongst others, Oxfam, UNHCR, National Grid and Newcastle University. Northern Skunkworks hasn’t worked with anyone and that’s probably for the best.
We utilise the latest thinking on low carbon technology, combined with traditional engineering skills, to create unique products and services for low carbon transport. We have particular expertise in solutions for electrifying non-car transport, such as bikes, cargo cycles and off-road vehicles.
We're proudly based in the North East of England, near Hexham. We have our own workshops with extensive facilities for design, development and small-scale manufacture of low carbon transport solutions. We also market BioLPG from our Hexham base.
